12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Wilkinson Public Library

Event Details

Description

This free class introduces and defines musicality to engage our movements. Jacquie will dissect and discuss the components, layers, and overall vibe of music that allows us to perceive music into movement. After a warm-up, all will explore the discussed concepts with exercises that will help to create a flow of well-timed motion. Once finally in the groove students can add props into the equation, creating a symphony of expression. Props available, but bringing your own may feel more comfortable to you. We think you will love her workshop!

Jacquie “Tar-Foot”, 24, hails from Las Vegas, Nevada. She has dedicated over eight years to object manipulation, and spent the past three years focused on full-time performance and teaching all over the country. Proficient in a variety of props and skills, a variance of hoops and staves are her go-to choice with some hand balancing thrown in for flavor. To learn more about Jacquie click here and here.

Limited to ages 15 and up.  All Fire Fest events at the library are free and open to the public, but space is limited and pre-sign up is required.  More info about the Telluride Fire Festival can be found here.
