Did you know that September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day? Well, you do now... Join us in celebrating this momentous international occasion!
Dress in your finest pirate garb (certainly not required, but we'd love to see your costumes if you have 'em!) grab your friends & family, and come by the library to watch The Curse of the Black Pearl, the first of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. (FYI, rated PG-13.) We'll have free pizza and popcorn, plus sword fights & swashbuckling aplenty! Best costume AND best pirate talk wins a local gift card!
About the library's program room: We want you to feel safe using the library! At all times, patrons are welcome to arrange seating to accommodate social distancing for their pod. We will also prop open both front and back doors of the Program Room and run air purifiers throughout the event to maximize a healthy airflow (bring a piratical sweater just in case it's a bit breezy!) And, since we follow our local Health Department regulations, masks are required for all attendees when indoors, except for a quick nom of popcorn or pizza. Any questions? Feel free to let us know.
