"In 2012, I lost full use of both legs and one arm, was told I would likely not walk again, and would be dead within weeks. I took charge of my healing, incorporating western medical treatments as well as an intensive naturopathic regimen and survived against all odds. A year later, 9 leptomeningeal brain tumors were found and I was given weeks to live... again. Again I incorporated a full spectrum of treatments. Two more times, I was given just weeks to live. At this point, I just laugh and say, "hold my beer.” I am mobile and have been ‘No Evidence of Disease’ since May 2014... a medical improbability. Stage IV cancer is a terminal diagnosis. I am just trying to redefine what that means. I'm going to live until I die. My mission is to provide inspiration and information so people don’t just go off and die because someone in a white coat said they will.

Book 1 of the Thrive Tribe Series, Whatever Doesn’t Kill You MakesYou Strong, on surviving life and denying death, is my story… of how I came to own my power. Told to you to help you own your power. I believe in you. Online Book Club independent review: four (out of four) stars – “Any person facing a difficulty in their life would benefit from her positive message of turning everything around by simply changing the way you look at things.”

Book 2, What I Did and Do and Why, a naturopathic protocol that helps me to survive and thrive, is my protocol and is applicable to general wellness a well as optimizing health for chronic conditions, not just cancer. It contains nearly 700 scientific references but is organized in an easy, accessible, format. Online Book Club independent review: Four (out of four) stars – “I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone because although this book was written for the benefit of cancer patients, there is something in it for everyone.”

Book 3, My Path as a Graceful Warrior, is a prompted patient journal with inspirational quotes to help one document their own healing journey.  Journaling was important to me on my journey as it allowed me to process what was happening.
