Join us on the first Tuesday of every month for an online gathering of words, wit, and wisdom! The brainchild of the Talking Gourds Poetry Club, each Bardic Trails poetry night will feature an award-winning guest poet sharing their new and exciting work. The featured poet for December is our dear friend, Talking Gourds co-foundress, and previous San Miguel County poet laureate, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer.

Rosemerry co-hosts the Emerging Form podcast on creative process, Secret Agents of Change (a surreptitious kindness cabal) and Soul Writer’s Circle. Her poetry has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, PBS News Hour, O Magazine, American Life in Poetry, onCarnegie Hall stage, and on river rocks she leaves around town. Since 2006, she’s written a poem a day. Her collection Hush won the Halcyon Prize. Naked for Tea was a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award. Her next collection, All the Honey, comes out in April, 2023. Her new daily audio series, The Poetic Path, begins on the Ritual app. in January 2023. One-word mantra: Adjust.

She has lived in Telluride since 1994, when she moved to the small mountain town for love. She and her husband, Eric, lived for seven years at the top of the ski area on Gold Hill in a home Eric built. Now they live in Placerville with their daughter Vivian. For ten years, Rosemerry directed the Telluride Writers Guild, then she co-hosted Talking Gourds Poetry Club with Art Goodtimes for seven years. She’s an avid Nordic skier, hiker and knitter/embroiderer.

We'll follow Rosemerry's reading with time for Q & A about her work and inspirations, with time afterwards for poetry sharing from attendees- a Gourd Circle of sharing whatever poetry you wish or just listening in. For those who desire, we'll use Rosemerry's chosen mantra, Adjust, as our poetry prompt.
