Event Details

In this class we will use movement to explore the pleasure and joy of living and moving in our bodies. Through playful and inquisitive exercises we will break down the ways we think about moving, explore movement throughout our bodies, and witness those around us moving and finding joy within dance. This class will challenge the roles and expectations we have set for our bodies and allow us to explore creativity, delight, and performance within a safe and supportive space.

About the instructors-
Noah: In 2018 I joined an improv studio class at my college and took part in an improv intensive hosted by Rosie Herrera through Reed college’s Dance department. In the winter of 2019 I flew to Peru to attend a 3-week improv dance intensive with dancers from around the world. Since then I have practiced and led dance workshops across the country, most recently at a Hostel in Southeast Georgia.
Pixie: After witnessing the transformation of improvisational dance move through the lives of many of my friends and my partner I took a class for the first time in 2020. Since then I have integrated dance into many parts of my life. Improv has guided my life into joyful and liberated places, and I am excited to share this practice with the members of the Telluride community this winter.
